Share Media Across Blogs in a WordPress Multisite NetworkOrdinarily, each WordPress blog in a multisite network has its own separate media library. Network Shared Media is a plugin that allows blogs to share media across the network. After installing the plugin you’ll find a new tab in the Add Media window where you can access media from other blogs.
Sharing media on a network is especially useful if you’re using multisite to manage a number of websites that you personally own and update. Or perhaps you are managing a group of student blogs and want to make a set of allowed images, video, and audio available for use. This plugin is perfect for that. Download Network Shared Media from the WordPress plugin repository.

![]() About the Purple RibbonFor more than 30 years a number of sources have been credited with originating the use of purple ribbon as a unifying symbol of courage, empowerment, survival, honor and dedication to ending domestic abuse. Across the country families and friends of victims have adopted the purple ribbon to remember and honor their loved ones who have lost their lives at the hands of a person they once loved and trusted. Purple Ribbon Council's vision is to build on this longstanding level of awareness by conveying the message that together, we can end this social disease by preventing it BEFORE it starts and interrupting the cycle BEFORE it is too late. WHY WE CHOSE MAY AS OUR NATIONAL "Go Purple" AWARENESS MONTHFor decades, October has been recognized as "National Domestic Violence Awareness Month," quietly raising mass awareness in the shadows of the very visible "pink" breast cancer awareness campaigns. To support (not dilute) the importance of October as the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Purple Ribbon Council has chosen the month of MAY as our national "GO PURPLE" awareness month. By mobilizing everyday people to help heighten public consciousness for prevention in the month of May, we reduce the possibility of competing for funds and cause market share in October with the critically needed "pink ribbon" campaigns. Each of our branded "Go Purple" campaigns, kick off publicity efforts in the month of MAY. We collaborate with salon and spa professionals, fitness enthusiasts, golf club managers, restaurant owners, retailers, survivors and community members to help Break the Silence, Break the Cycle and save Lives™. OUR BRANDED AWARENESS EVENTS AND CAMPAIGNS

In the months of October and May, businesses, churches, workplaces and service organizations hold Purple Ribbon Fund for Children™ “Give Change, Change Lives” coin drives. 100% of the dollars raised go to help send kids to Camp Butterfly and to our advocacy efforts for surviving children of domestic homicide. This is an easy way to get involved! Just go to TAKE ACTION and sign up for “Give Change, Change Lives.” We will provide the coin collection boxes and accompanying donation materials.
Our “Buy a Butterfly” Campaign builds awareness about the number of children affected by domestic violence homicide and funds to send these children to Camp Butterfly. Held each October and May, the “Buy A Butterfly” campaign is easy to do! At the point of purchase customers are asked to donate $1 or more to sponsor a child. Donors then sign their name on the Purple Ribbon Butterfly which are then placed throughout the business for all to see the entire month. Just go to TAKE ACTION and sign up for “Buy A Butterfly” Campaign and let us know if you will be participating in May or October. We will provide the paper butterflies and accompanying donation materials. How You Can Go Purple With UsPurple Ribbon Council gives everyday people, survivors, advocates, businesses, and others the opportunity to join the prevention movement in ways that are inspiring and full of hope. Click here to Take Action. Scratch That Artistic ItchStill too sceered to give a 3D program a try? Much like creating signature tags or pulling together the components for scrap kits, our efforts can be very rewarding and can add a whole new skill level to our hobby in digital art. Why pay to use other peoples tubes and art when, with some effort, we can make our own unique characters and props. If you're been flirting with the idea, take a look at how fifth generation figures can be made, shaped, reshaped, posed, texturized, lights and shadow effects added, animated...all that. In the past, 3D art could be extremely time-consuming and hard to work with and master. The concept of changing an adult into a pixie, creature or child and having the hair, clothing and accessories all still fit without an incredible amount of effort was unheard of. It's now MUCH MUCH easier.
Yes. You Can Do It YourselvesYou can do it. C'Mon, admit it. You've always wanted to add your own characters in siggie tags and other forms of digital art but didn't think you've got the talent. Ever had the makings of the perfect siggie tag and just couldn't find the right character, color schemes or poses? Or maybe licencing restrictions forced you to compromise your artistic expression? It doesn't have to be that way anymore. Take a few minutes to watch this video and decide for yourself. Maybe, just maybe, this is right down your alley. This just might be the springboard you've been looking for. And 3D art can take you far, far beyond creating characters. Entire scenes, animations, worlds are within your reach.
